Mornington Peninsula

A dark, moody architectural home on the Mornington Peninsula where the tiling needed to bridge a fully indoor-outdoor living sequence. Large-format cool-grey stone tiles run continuously from the interior living spaces out through the bi-fold doors to the courtyard, so the floor reads as one unbroken plane. Inside, the fireplace surround is clad in large matte concrete-texture panels, the kitchen backsplash combines dark shiplap with a black square mosaic, and the bathroom shower is finished in vertical finger-style ceramic tiles with a dark stone niche. Every junction — threshold, niche, external return — was set out to keep the material language consistent across a home built around long, clean lines and a disciplined, monolithic palette.
